90 Free Tools That Never Upload Your Files
Open a file, work on it, save the result. Your browser reads it and your device does the work, so the file never travels to a server and there is no copy left behind afterwards.

Three steps, none of them a server
This is the same flow as any other file tool, minus the part where your document leaves the room.
-
Open the file
Drop an image, PDF, spreadsheet or text file into the tool. Your browser reads it locally, so no upload request ever starts.
-
Work on it here
Compress, merge, crop, convert or format. The work happens in JavaScript and WebAssembly on your own machine, not in a queue on a server.
-
Save the result
Download the finished file straight from the browser. Nothing is waiting to be deleted later, because nothing was stored.
The file you would not email to a stranger
A payslip, an ID scan, a signed NDA, a medical report. Most people would think twice before handing those to an unknown website. With a local tool there is no decision to make, because there is no upload to trust.
“There is no plan to upgrade and no queue to wait in. Each tool states a single file cap on its own page, and that cap is set by what a browser tab can hold in memory rather than by a subscription tier.”
- Works while your connection drops, once the page has loaded
- Same tool on phone, tablet and desktop, no account to sync
- Nothing to purge afterwards, because nothing was kept

How this page stays honest
Every tool in the catalogue carries a flag for whether it contacts an outside service. Tool pages use that flag to decide if they may claim "no upload", and this page lists exactly the tools where the flag is off. A tool cannot appear here and upload your file at the same time, because both come from one list.
The 15 tools that do need a live answer
Each of those pages explains what is sent and why before you type anything.
Questions people ask before trusting a browser tool
Do these tools really never upload my file?
Correct. The page opens your file with the browser File API and processes it with JavaScript or WebAssembly on your own device. No upload request is made, so no copy exists anywhere except your computer or phone.
How can I check that myself?
Open the browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab and use any tool on this page. You will see requests for the page and its scripts, and nothing carrying your file. The same reason explains why there is no upload progress bar: there is nothing uploading.
What about the other 15 tools?
A small group needs a live answer from somewhere else, such as domain lookups, search index checks, translation or URL shortening. Those pages say so in plain words before you enter anything, and only the URL or text you type is sent. None of them ask for a file.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file tool states its own cap on its own page, from 5 MB on the favicon generator to 50 MB on the PDF tools and 100 MB for a video in the GIF Maker. That cap exists because the file is decoded into memory on your device, not because a server is counting uploads. A laptop handles the largest of them comfortably; an older phone may struggle with a 50 MB PDF. If a job fails, try a smaller file or close other tabs.
Pick a tool and keep the file to yourself
90 tools, no account, no daily cap and no upload. The other 15 are listed above, so nothing is hidden.
