Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Password Generator.

Yes. The tool uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator.
Yes — toggle uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols independently.
Absolutely not. Passwords are generated locally and we never see them.
At least 16 characters for strong security.
Yes — generation uses the browser cryptographic random source, not time-based math, so output is unpredictable enough for real accounts.
For memorable secrets a multi-word passphrase you control beats a typed symbol jumble; the generator is best for machine-stored credentials in a manager.
No — nothing leaves your device and nothing is logged, which is the whole privacy design of client-side generation.

About the Password Generator Tool

Protect your digital life with the ToolFlic Professional Password Generator. In an era of constant security threats, a strong password is your first line of defense. Our tool creates ultra-secure, random strings that combine uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols to ensure maximum entropy.

Core Advantages

Generate passwords that are impossible for humans to guess and difficult for machines to crack. Our tool allows you to customize the length and complexity of your password, and even provides easy-to-read "speech" patterns for passwords that are easier to remember but still secure.

Architecture & Security

We utilize the `window.crypto` API to generate cryptographically strong random values. Unlike standard random generators, our tool ensures a high degree of entropy, and since it runs entirely on your device, your new passwords are never seen by our servers.

Under the Hood: the Password Generator explained properly

No marketing filler — just the mechanics, the trade-offs and the real limits, explained clearly.

How it actually works

A random password builder that draws characters with the browser crypto.getRandomValues source rather than Math.random, which is the difference between a password a script can predict and one it effectively cannot. You set a length from four to fifty with a slider, and tick which character classes to use - uppercase, lowercase, digits and symbols - and each drawn character comes from the combined pool of the classes you enabled.

Two advanced options tighten the result: excluding ambiguous characters removes pairs like capital O and zero or lowercase l and one so the password is easier to read back, and no-duplicate forces every character to appear at most once, which shrinks the usable pool at short lengths. A strength label classifies the output as weak, medium, strong or very strong from its length and variety.

Nothing is sent to a server and no password is stored; it is generated fresh in your browser each time you press refresh, so the same settings do not reproduce the same value.

What that means for your results

Using the cryptographic random source means each character is chosen from the operating system entropy pool rather than a seeded formula, so consecutive passwords are genuinely independent. The value is shown on screen and copied on demand, and it is never transmitted anywhere.

Where it falls short — honestly

The strength label is a rough heuristic from length and character classes, not a measured entropy figure, so a twelve-character password drawn from a small pool is only as strong as that pool, and ticking a single class at a short length is weak even if the meter is friendlier. This is not a password manager - a generated value is not saved, so if you do not store it yourself it is lost when the page closes.

A real end-to-end workflow

Set the longest length your target site allows, enable at least three classes, tick exclude-ambiguous if you type the password by hand, and copy it straight into a password manager rather than reusing it. For unique non-secret identifiers see UUID Generator, and never route a real secret through any online box.
