About the Image To Pdf Tool
ToolFlic Image to PDF Converter is the most efficient way to organize and consolidate your visual documents into a professional, multi-page PDF. You can upload multiple images in various formats (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF), reorder them with a simple drag-and-drop interface, and convert them into a single, high-quality document. Perfect for scanning receipts, creating portfolios, or assembling photographic evidence.
Core Advantages
Create universally readable documents that maintain their appearance across all devices and operating systems. Our converter includes options for page orientation, margin adjustments, and smart cropping to ensure your images fit perfectly on standard A4 or Letter sizes. It eliminates the need for bulky PDF editing software.
Architecture & Security
Built on a specialized client-side PDF generation engine, our tool assembles document structures in-memory. This approach ensures that your images are embedded with zero quality loss and that the resulting PDF is optimized for both web viewing and high-resolution printing.
Under the Hood: the Image To Pdf explained properly
No marketing filler — just the mechanics, the trade-offs and the real limits, explained clearly.
How it actually works
Add up to 20 images, 10MB each, and drag them into the order you want using the reorder list. For every image the tool decodes the file, rasterises it onto a canvas, compresses it to JPEG at your chosen quality, from 0.3 to 1 defaulting to 0.9, and places that single image on its own PDF page built by jsPDF.
Page geometry is chosen before placement: A4 at 210 by 297mm, US Letter or Legal, in portrait or landscape, with margins of 0, 5, 10 or 15mm. Each photo is then scaled to fit inside the printable area while keeping its own aspect ratio, so nothing is stretched and nothing is cropped.
The document is assembled in memory and handed to you as a download; the files never leave your device.
What that means for your results
Because every page is an embedded raster, the output quality is decided entirely by your source resolution and the quality slider. A 12MP phone photo at 90% prints crisply; a 640px-wide image blown up onto A4 turns soft and blocky, because there are not enough pixels to fill the page.
That is also why the resulting PDF behaves like a scan: the text inside it is pixels, not characters. You cannot select it, search it or copy it, and a PDF text search in a viewer will find nothing. If editability matters, build the document in a word processor and convert with Word to PDF instead.
Where it falls short — honestly
Two practical boundaries: 20 images and 10MB each. Beyond that the browser memory needed to hold every decoded page becomes unreliable, especially on phones, so split long jobs into two documents and join them afterwards in PDF Merge.
Page size is fixed for the whole document, so a mix of portrait photos and landscape scans will letterbox some pages rather than resizing the paper per page. For scanned pages that are crooked, rotate the photo before uploading.
A real end-to-end workflow
The classic receipts-and-documents job: photograph each page, crop away the desk in Image Cropper, convert straight photos here at A4 with narrow margins, then if the file is too big for email run it through PDF Compressor.
For a shareable photo set, keep quality at 0.9, choose Letter if the recipient is in the United States and A4 everywhere else, and reorder the thumbnails before generating so the story reads in the right sequence.
